Manchester United should surprise Trent Alexander-Arnold, a defender for Liverpool, by making a transfer, according to Dwight Yorke.
Since making his debut for Liverpool in 2016, the 25-year-old has been a member of the club since the age of six and has won seven major championships.
But Yorke thinks United could be able to recruit Alexander-Arnold if he doesn’t click with Arne Slot, the next manager.
Given that Liverpool is his childhood club, I doubt Trent Alexander-Arnold would want to leave, but with Jurgen Klopp gone, Liverpool will be through change. Under Slot, Alexander-Arnold may develop into a midfield player, Yorke said to Best Online Poker Sites.
This may be another chance where Man United should try their hardest to get Alexander-Arnold if Liverpool under Slot play poorly and he grows dissatisfied.
‘I was the first person to suggest that Man United should have signed Leroy Sane started to become frustrated at Man City when he was on the bench frequently, now he’s one of the best players in Germany.
‘Alexander-Arnold may have a similar opportunity which Man United should pounce on. Obviously, there is history between the clubs and Alexander-Arnold will know that as an Englishman, but it can be an opportunity to look out for.’
Meanwhile, Yorke believes Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, who is wanted by Chelsea, could develop into a better striker than Nicolas Jackson.
“Aston Villa needs to make a football decision with Jhon Duran,” Yorke remarked.
“Going to Chelsea with Duran is probably the best option if it benefits both parties.” That relies on how well Unai Emery uses it and how he can take Duran’s place.
Though I don’t think Duran got enough chances, I did enjoy him. As such, I can’t say if he will succeed or fail at Aston Villa.
“Whether he succeeds at Chelsea is another matter entirely; given that Chelsea already has Nicolas Jackson, I don’t see him playing much more than he does at Aston Villa.” But I believe he has what it takes to surpass Jackson as a striker.
