Kate Middleton is an avid tennis fan who is frequently observed in the stands at Wimbledon.
And, of course, she always looks the part, giving us on-trend fashion moments like a mint-green Balmain jacket and a Barbie pink dress.
While royal fans were anxious that their beloved Princess might be unable to appear on centre court this year owing to her continuous cancer treatment, they were mistaken.
The 42-year-old arrived in SW19 today dressed elegantly in a beautiful knee-length purple dress with a nude purse and shoes.
The dress is the Safiyaa Cecilia Lilac Midi Dress which is currently available for £1,295. However, Kate’s appears to be customised with a higher neckline.
On her lapel, the Princess paid tribute to the tournament with a bow in the signature purple and dark green colours.
Kate arrived with her daughter Princess Charlotte, nine, who was dressed in a cute polka dot dress – a pattern her mum has often picked to wear to the tournament in recent years.
Prince William, 42, is no doubt already on his way to Germany, to watch England in the Euros 2024 final, as they take on Spain.
It’s the first time Kate has worn purple – one of the Wimbledon colours – to Centre Court.
We’ve seen her sport green hues in recent years – another of the event’s colours and a nod to Wimbledon being the only major tournament played on grass.
Last year Kate opted for three green ensembles: a statement mint green and white Balmain blazer, a tennis-ball green Self Portrait dress, and an elegant emerald green gown by Roland Mouret.
Kate has been staying away from the spotlight in recent months after her shock cancer diagnosis.
She last made a public appearance in June, for Trooping the Colour – her first outing since the news.
As ever, she looked beautiful for the parade, wearing a white Jenny Packham dress, with a statement bow detail, and matching hat by Philip Treacy.
