The transfer of defender Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina to Nottingham Forest is now complete.
Following a Wednesday physical, the 26-year-old signs a five-year contract with Forest, which is expected to pay £12 million for the Serbian international.
Following the £27 million sale of center back Moussa Niakhate to Lyon, the Reds want defensive reinforcements.
“He is a key part of our squad planning this summer, and I know how enthusiastic he has been to join the club,” Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson stated of Milenkovic.
“We have long appreciated his efforts for Fiorentina in Serie A and European competitions, as well as with the Serbian national team.
“We are delighted he will bring his experience and qualities to Nottingham Forest.”
With 56 caps for Serbia, Milenkovic participated in every match in Group C at Euro 2024, including the team’s 1-0 loss to England.
The 19-year-old center back began his career at Partizan Belgrade before making the move to Fiorentina in 2017.
During his seven-year tenure at the Serie A team, Milenkovic made 264 games, tallying five assists and 17 goals.
