After their contracts with Sao Paulo expire, Southampton has agreed to recruit Brazilians Welington and Juan.
In January, both athletes will relocate to St. Mary’s after reaching a personal agreement and signing pre-contracts.
The 23-year-old left-back Welington has played in 150 games for the Brazilian Serie A squad. He has played on winning teams that won the 2023 Copa do Brasil final and the 2024 Supercopa do Brasil series.
At the under-23 level, he played for Brazil.
In the future Twenty-two-year-old Juan has played for the Brazil Under-19 team and has eight goals in 80 games for Sao Paulo.
Southampton, who were promoted through the play-offs, begin their Premier League campaign at Newcastle on Saturday, 17 August.
