A memorandum of agreement (MOU) was formally signed today in Madrid, Spain, between LALIGA and China Media Group (CMG). Strategic football interactions between China and Spain will be facilitated by the partnership, which will take use of each party’s leadership and knowledge in their respective industries.

LALIGA President Javier Tebas, Vice Minister of the CPC Central Committee’s Publicity Department, President and Editor-in-Chief of CMG Shen Haixiong, and Chairman and Co-Founder of Mediapro Tatxo Benet were present at the signing event. Yao Jing, the Chinese ambassador to Spain, was also present for the event. Leading members from LALIGA, CMG, and Mediapro also attended the signing ceremony to witness this historic event.

Since 2013, LALIGA’s strategy has placed a strong emphasis on internationalization. This season, the Shanghai-based LALIGA China Office is celebrating its tenth anniversary. It has been involved in a number of extremely successful projects that have increased the brand’s value internationally, created opportunities for all clubs, grown its fan base, and fostered a close relationship with fans and strategic partners. As one of the organization’s most important territories, the nation is where LALIGA is devoted to enhancing its strategy.
