After missing out on Benjamin Sesko, Dwight Yorke has urged Arsenal to launch a remarkable £100 million deal for Alexander Isak, a striker for Newcastle United.
Sesko, a striker from Slovenia, turned down offers from Arsenal and Chelsea to join him, but he ultimately opted to stay at RB Leipzig and signed a new contract with the German team.
Yorke considers it “strange” that Sesko turned down the Premier League’s offer to remain in his current position and demands that Arsenal “go all out” in their pursuit of Isak.
Over the last two seasons, the Sweden international has become one of Newcastle United’s most vital players, scoring 35 goals in 67 games to aid Eddie Howe’s team’s ascent up the Premier League standings.
Isak, according to Yorke, would quickly adjust to Mikel Arteta’s style of play and provide strength to an Arsenal squad that depended heavily on Kai Havertz up front over the most of the previous campaign.
After two consecutive Premier League second-place finishes, Arsenal is likely to add a new striker this summer, prepared to support Arteta again in the transfer window.
Yorke told Crypto Sports Betting, “It’s strange that Benjamin Sesko decided to stay at RB Leipzig and reject the likes of Arsenal.” He is approaching the age when he ought to have entered the Premier League early in his career to gain some British football experience.
Arsenal must make a major move to acquire Alexander Isak immediately because they failed to find a suitable striker.
“Isak will cost Arsenal approximately £100 million; that is the amount Newcastle will value him at,” the manager said.
“Kai Havertz was a valuable asset to Arsenal last season, but they need someone like Isak to replace him at the striker position.
Arsenal need a signing of that caliber. I think Isak can score goals for fun the way Erling Haaland came to Manchester City.”
“Fortunately for Arsenal, it works because Isak will adjust like it’s nothing because he has two years of Premier League experience already.”
When questioned earlier in the month about the transfer rumors, Isak, 24, downplayed the rumors regarding his future and insisted he is “very happy” at Newcastle.
He declared, “I’m enjoying myself very, very much in Newcastle,” to the Swedish publication Fotbollskanalen.
“I had the finest season of my career just now.” That is not something to be taken lightly. Really, I adore everything about the city, the supporters, and the team.
To be honest, I’m not thinking of moving or anything like. I am really content with my life and have a great time.
When questioned about Arsenal’s alleged interest, Isak responded, “It is not something I am speculating on.”
There hasn’t been any controversy or discussion about it among the team or the organization. The club has not given me any information that they would need to sell me.
