Real Sociedad’s Spanish defender Robin le Normand will join Atletico Madrid, according to an agreement signed.
This summer in Germany, the 27-year-old center defender assisted his nation in winning Euro 2024.
The transfer will be “formalized in the coming days, when the player returns from the holidays,” according to Atletico.
A player that assisted Real Sociedad in winning the Copa del Rey in 2021 has a contract with La Liga opponent Atletico confirmed by Real Sociedad.
“Robin arrived at Zubieta in 2016 and, after two seasons with Sanse, he debuted in the third season and steadily secured a spot in the first team,” stated Real Sociedad.
“His progress has been outstanding, culminating in 221 official matches for the txuri urdin, external and a Copa del Rey title.
“We will always remember his dedication and gratitude to the colours that have shaped him into the player he is today.”
