Ferdi Kadioglu, a full-back from Turkey, joined Brighton for £25 million from Fenerbahce.
The 24-year-old becomes the team’s eighth summer signing after agreeing to a four-year deal with Fabian Hurzeler’s group.
“I’m very excited because we are getting an excellent player and a great character,” stated the head coach.
“He has great ability, is a strong runner and very good at passing.”
The defender, who was born in the Netherlands, began his playing career at NEC Nijmegen of the Eredivisie before moving to Fenerbahce in 2018.
He has played more than 200 games for Fenerbahce, scoring 18 goals, and has been capped 20 times by his country, playing every minute as Turkey reached the Euro 2024 quarter-finals in Germany in July.
