Chelsea has received warnings that one of the players they want to let go this summer will develop into “one of the best strikers in Europe.”
In addition to bringing in players like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Omari Kellyman to boost the Stamford Bridge team during the summer transfer window, Todd Boehly is also working on a number of outgoings.
Chelsea is accepting bids for Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Conor Gallagher, and Trevoh Chalobah, but has already sold Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall, Omari Hutchinson, and Hakim Ziyech this summer.
The Albanian Football Association President thinks it would be a mistake for the Blues to let go of Armando Broja, who they believe has the potential to become one of Europe’s best attackers in the coming seasons.
Broja was anticipated to contribute significantly to the Stamford Bridge team after an impressive loan stint at Southampton in 2021–2022.
However, the 22-year-old has had trouble staying healthy and in form, only managing three goals in the previous two seasons.
Because of this, Chelsea has decided to sell Broja in an effort to generate about £35 million for the Albanian international, who competed at Euro 2024 but lost to his country in the group stages.
According to Armand Duka, the chief of football for Albania, Broja may become one of Europe’s best players despite his recent troubles, which have mostly been caused by injury.
“Armando is unquestionably among the best players in Albanian football history,” he stated to Sportitalia.
“As a supporter of Milan, I would be overjoyed if Broja were to visit Milanello.” Definitely the boldest and finest move Milan could make in the summer market.
‘The boy has incredible talent and I think he hasn’t shown his best yet. He needs to play at club level and I think Serie A and Milan represent an excellent opportunity for him to climb to the top of European football.
‘He will be one of the best strikers in Europe. I am convinced that he is ready to try an experience in Italian football and if it happens I think it will be a success.’
Broja confirmed earlier this week that he has received several offers to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
‘It’s true, I have offers from Serie A, the Bundesliga and the Premier League,’ Broja said. ‘Staying at Chelsea? It is an option. I still have a contract here.’
