Cole Palmer is training hard shortly following Euro 2024 to be as prepared as possible for Chelsea’s next Premier League campaign.
The 22-year-old may not have had much time on the pitch in Germany, but he was one of the standouts of England’s campaign, which ended in a defeat to Spain in the final on Sunday in Berlin.
The Chelsea player came off the bench in the semi-finals and helped Ollie Watkins score the winning goal against the Netherlands at the death.
He then came on as a substitute in the final and scored a wonderful equalizer for the Three Lions in the second half, but they lost 2-1 to the Spaniards.
It was a painful end to the competition for the England squad and they are not heading straight back to their clubs as they take some time off after the tournament, but Palmer is far from chilling out.
Personal trainer Nathan Palmer posted a picture of Cole lifting weights in the gym, with the caption: ‘@colepalmer10 straight back to it.’
Palmer is expected to be a key player for Chelsea again this season after a stunning debut season with the Blues.
After a move from Manchester City last summer, the forward proved to be an incredible signing, netting 22 times in the Premier League and scoring 25 in all competitions.
Enzo Maresca, Chelsea’s new manager, has a demanding preseason schedule ahead of them.
Before traveling back to England to play Inter Milan, the Blues will play games against Wrexham, Celtic, Club America, Manchester City, and Real Madrid in America.
The Premier League season kicks off on August 18 at Stamford Bridge versus Manchester City.
