According to rumors, Karim Adeyemi is doubtful about a transfer to Chelsea following their effort to capture the Borussia Dortmund winger.
Last season, the 22-year-old had a difficult season for Dortmund, scoring only five goals in 34 appearances and starting on the left flank in his team’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
His performances have piqued Chelsea’s interest, and the club has allegedly approached Adeyemi’s representatives to discuss a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
However, MailOnline adds that Adeyemi is ‘unreceptive’ to the idea of joining Chelsea this summer.
The report adds that the winger is keen to keep playing in the Champions League – something which Chelsea are unable to offer next season.
Adeyemi scored the winning goal against Chelsea in the first leg of a Champions League knockout tie in February last year and Jude Bellingham praised his Dortmund teammate after the match.
‘We are really confident when he gets the ball one on one,’ said Bellingham .
‘Not many players can stop him. He had a tough time coming here at the start, finding his feet, and now he’s flying.’
Chelsea have already made five signings this summer with Tosin Adarabioyo, who joined from Fulham last month on a free transfer, Marc Guiu, who cost £5m from Barcelona, Omari Kellyman, who arrived in a £19m deal from Aston Villa, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who was signed in a £30m deal from Leicester City.
Chelsea have also agreed a deal with Brazilian side Palmeiras to sign their highly rated 17-year-old winger Estevao Willian. He will make the move to Stamford Bridge next summer after he has turned 18.
