Erik ten Hag’s choice to stay with Manchester United has thrilled Marcus Rashford, who is eager to recommit to the team of his youth.

Rashford had a lackluster season as United ended a pitiful eighth in the Premier League standings, much like many of his colleagues.

An FA Cup final victory over Manchester City provided some solace for an otherwise miserable season; after the game, Rashford sobbed as he left the field.

The Sun claims that Rashford wants to stay at Old Trafford, despite some believing that his emotional outburst indicated that he may have played his final game for the team.

Now that Ten Hag’s short-term situation has been cleared up, Rashford hopes to return for preseason feeling revitalized and ready to take the lead in Ten Hag’s next chapter of career.

Paris Saint-Germain have been long-term admirers of the 26-year-old and the Ligue 1 giants are currently on the lookout for a Kylian Mbappe replacement.

The French giants will, however, be forced to look elsewhere with Rashford ready to knuckle down and leave behind him the off-field problems that undermined his form last season.

Rashford is almost certain to benefit from a full summer off after he was left out of the England squad for Euro 2024.

The Three Lions have not fared well without him, and Wayne Rooeny—his former teammate—thinks it was a mistake to leave players like Rashford and Jack Grealish off the roster.

“I contemplated Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford,” Rooney stated to the Times following his side’s 1-1 tie with Denmark.

Bringing them on would have been a wise decision. Sometimes it’s as simple as the opponent knowing that these players exist and have the potential to harm them.

It was another instance when I pondered whether Gareth felt bad about his team’s inexperience.
