According to sources, West Ham is interested in adding right-backs this summer, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Manchester United.

West Ham needs a right-sided defender now that Ben Johnson has been sold to newly promoted Ipswich Town.

According to Sky Sports, players on their shortlist include Wan-Bissaka, who has been linked to leaving Old Trafford for some time, and Kyle Walker-Peters of Southampton.

The Englishman’s contract is about to expire, and although the Red Devils aren’t aggressively trying to offload him, there haven’t been any discussions about extending it.

With that in mind, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co. will weigh up their options which could see the 26-year-old move on after five years with the club.

Wan-Bissaka joined United from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £50million in 2019, following an outstanding breakthrough season with the Eagles.

He’s been a solid if not unspectacular player since, who has thrived defensively but struggled to make an impact up the other end of the pitch.

Due to United’s injury issue, Diogo Dalot filled in as a left-back on occasion last season, making 30 appearances. Despite this, Dalot is still a valuable player for Erik ten Hag.

He has made 190 appearances for United to date, and he has advanced to two FA Cup and League Cup finals in addition to one FA Cup and one Europa League final.

According to earlier reports, Wan-Bissaka was one of twelve players that were cut as part of Ratcliffe’s reorganization and may have already played his final game for the team.

Among the 11 United players whose contracts are up for renewal next summer are Mason Greenwood, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen, and him.
