Manchester City‘s Brazilian right-back Yan Couto has completed his move to Borussia Dortmund.
The deal with the Champions League winners calls for an initial loan with a buyout commitment of £25.3 million (30 million euros).
The 22-year-old, who joins City in 2020 but has already participated in a game for the Premier League winners, described the experience as “a dream come true.”
“Borussia Dortmund is a unique football team. Brazil’s youth are well aware of this club’s greatness.
“I can’t wait to wear the BVB shirt for the first time and experience the power and emotions in this brilliant stadium.”
Following his transfer to City, Couto spent a year on loan with Girona, a team in the City Football Group, and then two more seasons with them after a year with Braga, a Portuguese team.
He helped the La Liga side qualify for this season’s Champions League.
